Why body is very SKINNY?
Hi Doctor,
I am 28 years old with hieght 5" 6' and weight 50 kgs. My BMI comes around 18.5 which is underweight. This is the same weight am having past 10 years and not able to cross 50 KGs. Though I eat properly I am thin. I want to understand what is the issue with me, is it metabolism issue, or is it nutitional issue or something else. Which specialist I should consult?

Regarding weight loss
Last year (July 2020) , my weight was around 99 kg. I was detected with slight high Bp. So I worked to reduce weight by diet changes and exercise . Till last month (mid of March 2021) I was 83 kg . After that I thought my weight is fine and I started having normal meals. But still my weight is continuously reducing and I have lost around 2.5 kg in last 20 days . Around 200 gms everyday.
Is it a cause of concern. I did my normal blood test including liver function , kidney function , thyroid profile, cardiac profile , everything was fine.
Do I need to be worried about consistent weight loss even when I stopped doing many things or it is normal.
Could you suggest few things so that I can gain or maintain weight.
My meal plan (current)
Breakfast - poha, vermicelli, brown bread or oats meal and Tea / milk
Lunch - 4 chapattis , dry sabji and pulses
Evening - fruits and or tea
Dinner - vegetable and 3/4 roti
Post dinner - milk

Hello ...my age is 22 and my weight is 33 .I have my proper diet including dal rice roti .I m a vegetarian . When i was18 i was affected by jaundice twice and typhoid thrice since after that i lost my body mass due to which i m having alot prob as anemia sometimes skin prob eyesight hairfall even tooth prob .i tried all those amway tablets and multivitamin i m not able to get a perfect body mass .Even i tried all those drink for increasing body weight .Yes i consume green tea but only 2cups and nothing else
