Why do people believe that rice is not good during cold and coughs? In my house generally during viral cough cold and runny nose, rice is being avoided.

A year ago, I went to a Gastroenterologist and was given albendazole, praziquantel and another medicine which I forgot the name of. The dic didn't tell me if I had any worms in me, simply gave me the prescription, and I took them as required. Yesterday, I found a white inch long flat worm?? floating in my toilet. What do I do? Has the worm already affected my brain? I've been having gas problems where gas is trapped in my lungs and stomach too, so when I eat the gas pushes out stool so I have to always go to the toilet to poop. What steps should I take to be cured?

I have been experiencing a very severe cold and a dry cough for the past 3 days. I took some medicines from a medical store which helped a little but I am still sneezing a lot. For the last 2 days waking up in the morning has been the most difficult task for me. It feels like I have a fever at night. There is a continuous burning sensation in my palms and the soles of my feet. My head feels incredibly heavy making it very challenging to wake up. Along with this I have mild pain in my lower back and legs that feels like a physical wound. After eating food and taking medicine during the day I feel a bit better in the evening but the nights mornings and afternoons are very heavy. I fall into such a deep sleep that I wake up with a headache feeling as if someone had been pressing down on my head. I also see strange dreams related to fighting while asleep. I am experiencing weakness severe cold and a dry cough. My body is not extremely hot but it constantly remains warm.
