Facing erection problem after taking treatment for 6 months with a psychiatrist took resperidone for 6 months from 4 mg to 2mg. Now the resperidone has been stopped and replaced by olanzapine. But still the problem persists.

I seem to have undiagnosed adhd. I have observed all the symptoms, lack of concentration...heavy head all the time, brain fog ..forgetting roads all the time. Okay so, my mom and us are planning to start her SSRI (with our psychiatrist) for her mild depression and anxiety symptoms but I'm worried about all the side effects and how long would she have to take it. So I wanted to ask When a patient is prescribed an SSRI for depression or anxiety, do they really get off the medicine let's say in less than an year? And if yes, how it's actually done? It'd be of great help if you can answer.
