General Surgery

I had an accident and got sutures on my upper lip via plastic surgery  4 weeks ago, and the doctor said the threads are absorbable. The knots are still in place, and the area where the thread is knotted is painful when I laugh or chew. Is this normal, and should I wait for the knots to fall off, or do they need to be removed?

Hi doctors, for last 6-8 months i feel light pain on my lower abdomen. whenever i bend i feel very light pain on my right abdomen. actually the pain is in between lower stomach to testicles, not clearly where pain start. please consult to whom i have to check and what to do? what could be it is? thank you in advance.

I have left inguinal hernia measuring 1.1 cm with herniation of mesentric fat (on coughing) no sonographic evidence of obstruction or strangulation seen.do i have a need for surgery or is it curable without surgery?

Please read my mri report does it sound complex?what treatment will be suitable for it? Fistulous tract shows enhancing walls with surrounding mild fat stranding. Tract measures 3mm in width and overall length of ~2.3cm. No ramifications • No supralevator extension. No abscess formation noted. Visualised pelvic organs appear unremarkable. Visualized bowel and rectum are within normal limits. No significant pelvic lymphadenopathy noted. IMPRESSION: 1. Posterior intersphincteric perianal fistula as described above with internal sphincteric openings at 6 o clock position in two different levels (at ~9.4mm and 17mm from the level of anal verge respectively). No definite internal anal mucosal opening seen - Grade I.

If lump on the neck has pus found during fnac is it a good sign. He got a lump on right side of the neck. His all blood reports are good only HB is 9.8.

The baby, who is 2.5 years old, suffered a burn injury on the foot due to an electric kettle one month ago. I have been consulting a surgeon for the past month, and they prescribed Derbisae ointment for healing. However, the wound has not improved significantly. A skin specialist recently examined the wound and recommended escharotomy surgery after consulting a pediatric surgeon. So if the surgery is done it will be under local anesthesia or general anesthesia and if it risk for baby pls give suggestions

My name is vishal thakur I was diagnosed with fissure with hemriods I got operated on 25 jan 25 but now I m feeling a small ganth outside my skin what it can be

Everytime after i have bowel movement ..I feel anal spasm and shortly after i have swollen anal region reddish in color which remains for 4 hrs and then subsides leaving a mucous .. During this 4 hrs its very uncomfortable to sit or walk. There is NO PAIN or BLEEDING at all during bowel movement.. This symptom is going on for an year  increases in winter.

Have undergone cholecystectomy 3 years back, since then I am having this red and swollen scar in the upper stitched area..what should I do?

Operated for anal fissure through LIS a year ago,still sometimes after stool,anal burns. Checked with surgeon ,told no such new fissure and no anal stricture. Adviced to apply lignocaine. Why it keeps on persisting with burning sensation. Any solution??  Eating high fibre food.
