Perfect body weight

I'm a 28 yr old guy having a weight of 58 kg,my height is 5'6"...My weight been same for last 6 7 years, i tried various changes in my food habits but still no weight gain happened,my father is slim, What's the reason of such a low weight and why it's been difficult for me to gain weight..??? Is this due to genetic factor or not..??? I'm frustrated now...!!!
