Brain and Spine Problems

My mom has SCA (Spinocerebellar Ataxia). She sometimes doesn't realise that she needs to get fresh or has pressure to get fresh and dirty the clothes in that case. Can some medicines be given to avoid this? On the contrary sometimes she gets feeling that she has to pass stool 3-4 times a day while she doesn't get fresh

My grandfather's age is 84 and he has been taking oxcarbazepine 300 mg tablet(oxcarbazepine colour yellow fcp and titanium dioxide ip) but still today his condition worsened when he was taking tea and he experienced another seizure for 2-3 mintues. He is already a brain patient from 1992 (at that time he had a brain stroke and due to no medical advancement he doesn't get a treatment at that time) but in 2012 he started getting seizures and he had operated for hernia in 2022 and still getting medicine for urine and his epilepsy medicines brand recently changed by pharmacist due to unavailability in area...please suggest what should we do now to keep him healthy. And he was also having problems  while breathing yesterday

I’ve been having recurring headaches, and they’ve been getting worse this year. The pain is not limited to one side it can feel more general/around my whole head. The headaches can become quite intense and interfere with my normal activities. I’ve noticed they can happen or become worse after I’ve been outside for even 5 min. I’m concerned because this has been happening repeatedly and the overall pattern seems to be getting worse compared with before. I also sometimes experience nausea/vomiting around the same time, and I want to know whether that could be related. I’d like to be properly evaluated to find out what type of headache this is and whether I need any examination or tests.

Had migrabeta plus for 2 months got relief for next 2 months. Again since 15 days am feeling headache and nausea. Need permanent solution

My mother developed sudden slurred speech and numbness on one side of the face, so we took her to a nearby multispecialty hospital immediately. She was evaluated by a neurologist, who ordered an MRI brain with MR angiography (report attached) and an ECG. The neurologist said there was no major acute abnormality on the MRI, advised her to continue her current medications (Tazloc 40 and Zapiz 0.25), and recommended a cardiology review with echocardiogram, lipid profile, fasting blood sugar, and HbA1c tomorrow. However, her slurred speech and facial numbness are still present. If the MRI does not show an acute stroke, what could explain these persistent symptoms? Could this still represent a TIA/small stroke not visible on imaging?she had  Bell's palsy (she had Bell's palsy 3 years ago but got cured), or another neurological condition? What additional evaluation or management would you recommend?

Hi All, I have been experiencing a very strange kind of pain on the upper left side of my head, just above the ear. It started about 4 days ago. The pain was quite intense during the first two days, and since then it has changed into a radiating, throbbing, or “zap-like” pain that comes and goes. Two days ago, I woke up around 5:00 AM because of neck pain along with pain in that area of my head. However, I was able to go back to sleep later without any issues. Unfortunately, I searched Google and read that headaches that wake you up from sleep can be a sign of a brain tumor, which has made me extremely anxious. This morning, I also experienced some dizziness, although I’m not sure whether it was due to stress and fear or something else. The throbbing/zap-like pain continues to come and go. If I go to a government hospital for a CSF (lumbar puncture), after the doctor collects the fluid, do I have to take it to the pathology lab myself? If yes, what is the name of the test I should ask for at the lab so I can know the cost beforehand? My main goal is simply to find out the expected cost of the lab test in advance, so I know how much I may need to pay.
