Hi , it is difficult to interpret post-op symptoms without a complete understanding of the pre-op condition. Gabapentin is typically prescribed for relief of tingling sensation in feet in such conditions. However, in some patients , the medication itself can cause giddiness and loss of balance. Some dose modification or drug modification may be required in that case. It's always best to get in touch with your operating surgeon to help you in your post-op recovery. If the patient also complains of neck pain and radiating pain or numbness in upper limbs , kindly consider getting a cervical spine MRI done (If not already evaluated)
Next Steps
Report the symptoms to your operating surgeon for further management
Health Tips
Hydrate well and take support of someone while walking and going to the washroom (especially during the night)
