Hello, when we talk about flexibility of a joint, does it mean flexible ligaments or flexible muscles? Is it possible or advisable to increase the length of ligament to achieve more flexibility?

I have lower back pain and when I did MRI scan and identified as "mild degree of disk desiccation noted in cervical and lumber spines" doctor gave me diclogel 30gm and gembone tablet. Is my treatment going in correct direction and please suggest some exercises ?

I am having back pain since yesterday morning. Today its bit better but should i consult a physiotherapist? I often get back pains after 20km+ biking or even a after a stressful day but pain is not high and is bearable.

10 year lower back pain and from 3 year upper back pain. Lower back pain - right side of spine, dull/ sharp pain varies with time, increases when walking or standing for 15 mins, exercise suggested but no relief till now. Any sort of physical activity increases pain exponentially. Upper back pain - In between the two shoulder blades, poking sharp pain near the neck, lethargic and sleepiness all the time. Blood was tested for Vitamin D deficiency 3 years back when pain started, however Vitamin D and B12 supplements for one and half months after which tiredness went off but pain still prevails. problem with sleeping. stiffness in right arm. after waking up after night's sleep body pains (upper back mostly and feeling of lethargy even after 8 hrs of sleep). PLEASE HELP!!

My mom is complaining of pain in right side of her body. its been long since she is suffering from this. Presently she is taking physiotherapy sessions fpr this. Please advise which branch of medicine to consult for this issue.
