Factors to look for in retinal exam.

Does hit to the eye increase risk of retinal detachment in later years of life? . If the eye exam shows that there is no retinal tear or detachment during time of injury, then does it mean that retinal detachment won't occur later also?As we know that vitreous gel liquidifies due to trauma. Does the integrity of vitreous gel restores itself into solid from liquid if person is of young age over sometime. And will dilated eye exam be able to tell if changes in vitreous have taken place from trauma if person is young and not above 40( as after 40, even normal people can have degeneration in the jelly). Will dilated exam be able to tell if person is at risk of detachment due to changes in gel for near future in spite of no tears or detachment detected during the exam( will it be called posterior vitreous detachment). What needs to be seen in order to evaluate the future risk of detachment during exam? Considering no tear or detachment presently and no existing factors like myopia.
