Kidney Problems

I’ve been experiencing frequent urinary tract infections — about 12 episodes since February 2024. Each time, I consult a doctor and take antibiotics for ~10 days, which helps temporarily, but the infection returns within 1–2 months. This has been very frustrating. I’ve also been taking cranberry tablets, but the problem persists. Whenever I have an infection, I get a urine test and urine culture done (both before and after treatment). The reports return to normal after completing the course, but the infection keeps recurring irrespective and maintaining the hygiene Could you please advise on what further steps or preventive measures I should take to manage or avoid these frequent infections?

I am having mild & dull pain on the left of the navel since two days , it's radiating & uncomfortable, some times feel better , is it related to kidney or any other thing else don't know

Have pvr around 60 and bladder emptying take time need to give pressure and try twice atleast after gap to void Alfoo dialy causing hands legs pain other side effect Can take twice a week or every alternate days ??

I am 5ft 6inch weight 104kg, from last few weeks I am feeling dribbling of urine while at rest. Ultrasound has shown normal bladder and prostrate. Pre void was 800cc and post residual volume 70cc. I feel very uncomfortable through the day and night as I feel my pants are getting wet. Please suggest

Is it necessary for a urine test to collect the fist urine sample in the morning? I have seen a lot of reputated clinic do urine tests without collecting the first sample. Does it affect the result?

My case is not too bad and not so good. Had Covid 2 times, but not so severe. My LFT is on the higher side SGOT, SGPT since 5-7 years, but none of the doctor said that it's too high, given mild medicine each time Without raising any concern... I have been in the IT industry for 9 years, so my job is stressful, challenging and interesting at the same time. My other reports like LFT, HB1AC, LIPID, THYROID were always fine. But in March-2025 checkup uric acid was found to be 7.3, normal range was upto 7.2.. Cholesterol has been a little disturbed for 2-3 years.. In March-2025 triglycerides was 317 but total was within range, VLDL and LDL also a bit higher.. I have been consuming significant alcohal since 3 years..before that it was on and off and sometime it was 3-4 month breaks...But in last 3 years I have taken gap of 1 month twice, 15 days gap thrice, and may 4-5 gap for a week...Apart from that it's regular or alternate 200 ml whiskey approx avg..I play club cricket on weekend

I was diagnosed with EColi and was prescribed nitrofurantoin for 7 days. Even after 7 days symptoms were not gone 100% . In next urine test no bacteria growth was detected so I was not given any medicine. Also at same time I had anal fissure and was given rectogensic( this was after 14 days from nitrofurantoin course completion. Now when I applied rectogensic it caused headache and my uti symptoms seems to come back. Again doctor has taken urine sample for test and suggested for Amoxicillin. Can anyone guide me on this. ( I am in UK for some sort term project till November end)

Recently I got a Ulrasound done and it revealed that I had a thickened urinary bladder wall. I am having problem of being unable to control urine and pelvic pain for the past 3 years. Do i need to delve into this further?

Hi, I m 18 yo male suffering from scrotal pain since two years,last month I went to urologist and got a usg of scrotum both side shape size and echogenecity was normal just a small cyst of 5mm in right epididymal head and a mild patchy hypervascularity in right epididymal head as compared to left one was noted,however overall vascularity of both sides were normal,my urologist doc said it could be early orchitis(very low chance) gave me meds but the sensitivity didn't subside. I went for second opinion to a popular urologist he did physical examination and usg of abdomen and prlvis and doppler of scrotum from another radiologist, in doppler of scrotum this time no cystwas noted and morphology n blood flow of spermatic code epididymis and everything was normal and stated that scans were within normal limit and same for usg of abdomen and pelvis. Second opinion urologist doc didn't give meds and just said to wear scrotal support and ,is there any chance for orchitis or infection, infertil
