A stray dog bit one of my shoes while it was outside my house on a winter night in Gujarat. I realized this because the sole was detached from the shoe. Later, I wore the shoe and noticed cuts on my foot. I’m unsure how long ago the dog had chewed the shoe. Can I get rabies from this, or does the virus not survive in such conditions?
