Thank you for sharing your concern about the swelling in your abdomen. A persistent swelling in the **right quadrant** with associated pain could indicate various underlying conditions such as **gallbladder issues, liver concerns, intestinal disturbances, or even gynecological causes** (like ovarian cysts). Since this has been ongoing for months, it requires proper evaluation rather than self-medication.  Key Recommendations for Now: 1. Monitor Symptoms:    - Note if the swelling worsens after meals or during specific times.     - Check for associated symptoms like fever, nausea, changes in bowel habits, or weight loss.  2. Temporary Relief Measures:     - Avoid fatty/spicy foods and carbonated drinks.     - Apply a warm compress to the area for comfort.     - Maintain light physical activity to aid digestion.  3. Avoid Self-Medication:    - Pain relievers or antacids might mask symptoms without addressing the root cause.  Next Steps: Given the duration and location of your symptoms, I strongly recommend a **clinical examination, ultrasound, or other diagnostic tests** to determine the exact cause. For a detailed assessment and personalized treatment plan, you can reach me on WhatsApp at **eight zero zero nine eight two one three three two** to schedule a consultation.

Hi, Hope you are doing well. Based on what you have provided I would strongly advice you to start the following 1. A regular calorie counted diet 2. Aerobic exercise (walking, jogging, running, swimming etc) - 30 mins a day for 5 days a week. Start slow 3. Avoid alcohol and smoking Do not panic over your reports. It's all right. Check your fasting sugars and blood pressure once Repeat the reports only after 3 months. The sample has to be a fasting sample (8 hours of no food, basically after you wake up give a morning sample) You don't directly need medicines to control this. Don't fall for that. Do consult for better information

Your cholesterol level of 188.2 mg/dL and triglyceride level of 135.3 mg/dL are both within the acceptable range. Interpretation: Total Cholesterol < 200 mg/dL – Normal Triglycerides < 150 mg/dL – Normal Do you need medication? No, medicines are not needed at this stage if you have no other risk factors like diabetes, hypertension, or heart disease. Instead, focus on lifestyle changes to keep these values in control long-term. What you can do: 30–45 mins daily walking or exercise Reduce sugar, fried food, and red meat Eat high-fiber foods (oats, fruits, greens) Include flaxseed, walnuts, fish (omega-3) Maintain a healthy weight and sleep routine Repeat the lipid profile once every 6–12 months to monitor. A cholesterol-lowering diet typically includes a variety of foods such as soluble fiber-rich oats, barley, and fruits, lean protein sources like poultry and fish, healthy fats like avocado and olive oil, and a range of colorful vegetables, while limiting or avoiding saturated and trans fats found in processed and fried foods, sugary drinks, and high-cholesterol foods like egg yolks and organ meats.

Total serum cholesterol levels can’t be significant without looking at triglycerides level. If your triglycerides level are below 150 then you don’t have to worry much just maintain regular diet and moderate form of exercise 3-5 days in a week. If your triglycerides levels are between 150-200 then you have to worry about your daily routine and start making changes to diet by decreasing oil and salt intake and also include moderate form of exercise 3-5 days in a week If your triglycerides levels are above 200 then you are definitely doing something wrong with your routine and you have to be started on medicines to reduce cholesterol levels along with other changes mentioned in previous paragraph. To start medicines you need to do a doctor consultation where dr will examine you clinically along with proper history taking and vitals and look at your general blood/imaging investigations to rule out other problems/diseases and finally put you on a dose of medicine which you will have to follow up every 1-3 mnths depending on your clinical status mentioned by dr. Regular follow ups are important after 1st consultation to set the desired dose suited for your body as long as you keep working on your diet and exercise advised by your dr.
Next Steps
daily oil intake per person : not more than 5-6 spoons salt intake restrict to 1-2 teaspoons in whole day. Exercise 3-5 times in a week which should include 20 min weight training and 10 min cardio if you are young/healthy/active. If you are old/unhealthy/not very active person then include 150 mins of brisk(fast) walking in a week.
Health Tips
Remember, it is not only cholesterol that we look at when it is above 200 but we also look at whole body in general. I mentioned desired dose because the dose can be increased or become ‘ZERO’ depending on how well you work on yourself over time.
