I am father of my 7yr old child and we belongs to Bangalore kormangala , , affected by cancer (B-ALL),on 26/04/2016 , when he had fever and sever leg pain, for which we were admitted in nearby hospital but from past 5-7 days they were doing blood tests and not able to recognize my son problem. When I met Dr SK Gupta though somebody reference, by seeing first day blood reports itself he told that most likely he is suffering from blood cancer(which outside doctors took 6days to detect this life threating blood disorder). We all were very shocked ,we don’t know what to do next ,because we are belongs to poor family and he is only son to us. Finally we decided to get admitted to cancer specialized hospital (HCG) in Bangalore, and get treated only under hematologist specialized Doctor S K Gupta .
After doing further investigations like bone marrow, my son diagnosed as Philadelphia positive B-ALL and Doctor started treatment & gave chemotherapy to control it. My child tolerated all cycles of chemotherapy well with some episodes of fever which require in between some admission. As per common belief what we were having like- chemo will cause pain and burning to body. None of like these side effects (Pain excetra) were there. As this was high risk cancer we were counseled about BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT to reduce the chances of recurrence in future. We don’t have knowledge regarding BMT then doctor explained in easy language then only we decided to take this treatment. There was no full match in my family but there was half HLA match with me (Haplo-identical transplant). Initially we were very much worried about risk and success of Haplo-identical transplant vs full matched transplant. Dr Gupta tried lot to get full matched blood producing stem cells from Inside or outside India but meanwhile he continue to counsel about as equal success with half matched transplant compare to full matched in cancers. Finally my son was admitted on 06.01.2017 in BMT ward for Haplo-transplant and nearly 4-5 weeks we stayed in hospital, during which he received whole body radiotherapy and various chemotherapy which most of time don’t know but Dr Gupta and his staff explained every day in detail, specially doctor gave hope and psychologically support for us and his way of talking, smile face ,dedication gave us confident. We know that there is no guarantee that this cancer will be 100% cured but he has been given world class treatment for this fatal cancer and to not to forget to thank god that its almost 3month my son has been discharged and recovered and in regularly follow-up is going on in OPD. What myself and my family has learned in this almost 1yr Journey that most of time treatment protocol are same for any cancer but how it’s being delivered at personal level to each patient is very important.
Its my and my family members personal advise to consult Dr SK Gupta for any bone marrow or blood related cancerous and non-cancerous (Aplastic anemia, Thalassemia, ITP, Bleeding and Clotting disorders) to get benefit of early diagnosis and proper guidance which are most of time are lacking in these days .
Dr. Rajasekhar Reddy K
I had right side ribs (front) pain for 10 months. There were back ache's intermittently. I underwent several diagnostic scans, visited different doctors. All the doctors concluded on vitamin deficiency and muscle spasm. At the end of 10th month, while I was lifting a weight, I had sever back ache. After that I was feeling weak to get up from chair. The next day I visited Sunshine sec-bad, had MRI and discovered spine TB. I was advised immediate surgery or 2 mnths complete bed rest with medication. I opted for later. My parents visited several doctors, and we came across Dr Rajasekhar. He gave us the confidence that medication and bed rest will cure my illness. 2 months bed rest was extended to 4 months. I trusted the doc, as his treatment was based on logic. His profile includes several successful surgeries, yet he treats his patients uniquely. I'm thankful that he supervised my treatment. After 4 months, >90% of disease is cured. I trained my self to stand, walk, and stayed at home for 1 more month on doctors advice. I've to continue the medication for 1 year at least. Now I'm back to my work place.
I'm very thankful to Dr.Rajasekhar, for even though this form of disease is common across the nation, even though the treatment could be same for most of the patients, doctor took decision based on the patient's condition and diagnostics reports, (and of course based on his experience and intellect) which I feel is not a common trait in this corporate world.
I'm 35 year of age, have two kids, a wife, a house on mortgage, took 5 months of LOA (with no salary), complete bed rest. I could stay confident only because of my parents, by brother and my wife who took care of me, and because of the doctor who's treatment was to the point.
This is not the end of the story. I've to be careful, continue with medication. My suggestion to others is, do not read a lot regarding the disease on web, it only leads to depression. Instead follow doctors instruction. My doctor advised me to read books, watch movies, enjoy the holidays (until it lasts :-) ). I'll be visiting him on regular basis.

Most unpleasant experience! He is a Dr without patience. Easily gets irritated and frustrated. We went to check BP and cordio related issues of my father who is 68 yrs old, the doc lacks empathy which is the key characteristic of a doctor. Not a good experience at all and won't visit him again.

I did not like the customer service.. I booked 11:45 am slot still was made to sit 2 hours for my appointment.. if online appointment booking has no value they should not allow it.. and though doctor asked me to take a physiotherapy treatment immediately.. all the service desk cared about is payment of physiotherapy to be paid before treatment though doctor said I will pay later.. they came 5 times to remind.. as if I will run away from treatment center.. also despite of several request to get my file to physiotherapy doctor they kept hold just because of payment..this is ridiculous.. Fyi physiotherapy center is inside the hospital itself..

This was one of the worst & pathetic hospitals. All the corridors had dirty edges which weren't cleaned properly. The security were ruid to hell, hospital doesn't have enough parking & they asked me to park my vehicle somewhere and come. Receptionists are the most rude people. They take their own sweet time to handle appointment management and patients. They don't understand emergencies. The pharmacy doesn't have tablets prescribed by their doctors.
I visited another pharmacist & he was confused for a medicine, I called up the hospital to speak to the doctor regarding this. The receptionists weren't ready to get me to speak to the doctor. When I threatened the receptionist that I will complaint against them, it was then she gathered the doctors number & shared it.
Overall experience with this clinic was pathetic.
