Ear-Nose-Throat Problems

My mother's ear drum had ruptured when she was an infant, she didn't get the treatment required for it. A few days back her ear discharge started with some noise and discomfort. The doctor performed a ct scan, now on the basis of the report he says that the operation needs to be done but there is no guarantee that it will not create any problem further because there is also an issue to the ear bone. I wish to have some advice regarding this. Thanks in advance to all the doctors.

Mother in law is experiencing dizziness, not been able to steady sometimes, vertigo, unable to get up all of a sudden. Is it due to inner ear disturbance? Any physio required?

Since the last 2 nights, i have developed a really bad throat. It started by being itchy but then just worsened off. Right now, I have a dry cough but whenever I do, my throat hurts so much. Since 10 days I am having runny nose. 3 days back little throat irritation started. I took Montair LC tablet. Throat irritation cleared but runny nose continues even after daily taking Montair LC tablet. Only morning I will get yellow septum. Remaining part of the days it is clear white. I am not having fever, or any other symptoms. Only runny and some times blocked nose. 10 days back my kids got common cold but their cold cured but mine is not coming down. Earlier also whenever I take citrizen tablets runny nose would be reduced but this time not reducing. Kindly guide what to do? Antibiotics needs to start or i have to wait. Kindly guide me.
