I have recently joined gym. My instructor suggest me to take supplementary food, protein powder, shakes etc. I have doubt about any artificial food supplements and powders . Can you suggest me natural home made food for pre and post workout please. also suggest fruits and vegetables daily intake. My age is 50 and wight 68 kg.

Obesity, back pain, sciatica
I have put on lot of weight so my back pain increased and I have sciatica too now. Because of increasing weight my pain increases. Numbness comes in my left leg if I stand for few minutes. Need to reduce weight and fix up sciatica and l4-l5 disc prolapse problem.
