I had a fall and got my foot twisted .five weeks before .in initial days i had lot of swelling but still it swells mainly in evening hours and pain radiating up when i press on lateral malleolus i did icing elevation nd compression in initial days but its still swelled and pains.the extension of foot is mainly painful.will it cure on its own.

I strained my left shoulder joint while I was exercising ( stretching with out weights ). Also injured my  left finger accidentally while handling my kid. It bent backwards. It's been couple of months. I feel pain only when I lift my arm up and bend my finger. Otherwise no pain. Gen physician suggested to do serum uric acid test and take  Drise sachet considering my occupation. Serum uric acid is within range at 5.7. kindly suggest what should be done. I gave it a few weeks thinking I would recover with some rest automatically.

Does swelling in legs , thighs , hips has any relation with worn out cartilage in knees? My mom thinks that it will be due to knees cartilage which is worn out ....what are the complications with the knee cartilage worn out...
