Antibiotics for dental procedure
Hi!
I am scheduled for a wisdom tooth extraction. I have heard that Amoxicillin and/or Metronidazole is usually the preferred antibiotics for tooth extraction (if needed) or RCT?
I am not comfortable with Amoxicillin. So, what other antibiotics are equally effecfive? I have heard that Cephadroxil is used instead.
My gums are infected as well.
Thanks

Teeth alignment and unable to smile
I am a 28 year old male. I had cross bite and got braces when I was 21. And while it helped improve my teeth positioning a little. It still did not lead to me being able to smile, my lips are also asymmetrical. So it looks like I have an asymmetric face when I smile. Is this treatable without surgery? And is it advisable to go for braces again if I am 28 years old and have already done it when I was 21.

Tooth resorption
Hi All, I am 34 M,when I was 8 years old my front tooth chipped off. I did not go to doctor at that time. 6 years back in 2018 I did my crown for the chipped off tooth for aesthetics. Following is timeline for important events 2010-general braces 2018-fixed cap 2019-xray attached 2022-doctor mentioned internal tooth resorption and wrote some pain killers when I went for tooth pain. If pain persisted then doc said we should go for minor surgery else surgery is not required. 2023 used medication without consulting doctor 2024 (2 days back) severe pain in root of the tooth and again taken pain killers. My question is when I take pain killers I am ok. Should I go with surgery? I have cap so should we break it to have surgery? It's my front tooth and it's very important. I have undergone wisdom tooth removal just few days back. Is this related to my front tooth pain. I don't have latest xray and does old xray has any symptoms of resorption? in my case what might be reason for resorption?
