Tooth and Mouth Problems
Root canal or not (please check opg )
Hello Doctor,
I have 2 cavities for left upper teeth. So consulted a dentist and they suggested for root canal for both teeth and not for a filling.
Please check the attached opg and suggest me weather to go for root canal treatment or not.
Thank you.

Fillings FRC
Do I need to be worried that I still have black marks below this filling? It's been like that from the beginning. Did the filling a month ago. And did it need filling in the first place since no cavity was found in the xray?

Fillings and its longevity
Why do dentists use composite over amalgam? The average lifespan of composite is 7-8 years while amalgam is 15 years which is nearly double. Plus amalgam has 40-50 years of longevity in many cases and can withstand chewing forces much better than composites. Although there is a debate regarding mercury content in amalgam but even the ADA and dental council of india hasn't prohibited it from using and usually inert in nature . Composites also have BPA which is cancer-causing. And why is gold getting so out of fashion and dentists do not practice gold inlays/ onlays?

Toothache pain vanished but again return
My father had angioplasty 2 years ago.Now he is suffering from toothache. His molar tooth is affected. He was suffering from toothache 1 month ago but it lasted for a week then disappeared. But from yesterday night the toothache returned. If tooth extraction needed then he needs to stop blood thinner. But his cardiologist suggested not to stop blood thinner more than 2 or 3 days as he had TVCAD ( Really severe blockage) and he also told him to continue aspirin daily. Now what should he do if tooth extraction needed?
