Hi, Whenever I brush my teeth, I clean my tongue as well. Sometimes this cleaning make me gag hard. After this sometimes I get brown/rusty color tinge to my saliva/mucus after a few spits. I don't know if that's blood or not or is it coming from my throat or my stomach. I have no other symptoms and the saliva is clear for the rest of the day.

Hi, I brush my teeth twice a day along with cleaning my tongue as well. Sometimes, cleaning tongue makes me gag hard and after spitting 2-3 times after that, I get brown/rusty tinge in my saliva. On close inspection, it does not look like blood but I'm not sure. I don't know if it's coming from throat or my stomach. The saliva is clear for rest of the day. Help would be appreciated. Thanks
