My son has developed these reddish skin just behind his ears. Is it because of dryness or some type of skin infection?

I am using a steroid based cream (medisalic) I have been having this for a very long time, almost more than 2 years, and now I am having a lot of problems with my face. I got some dark bruises on my nose after squeezing to remove blackheads.At first, my nose turned red.After a day or two, I got some blackish bruises.Today It is 4th day...The bruises have become darker.I am giving ice pack...what else can I do to heal it quickly?
