Skin, Hair and Nail Problems

I have very dry skin and facing Acne issues from a year now. Big without face acne over my forehead and cheeks. Tried CERA VE face wash and DERIVA CMS suggested by many doctors yet no results shown. Gradually acne has increased and skin feels burning and dry now. Also from past few months the acne marks have become rigid. What to do in this case.

I'm facing the issue of dandruff and today I saw this (attached image). Initially the dandruff was only in hair but now its in beard too. Please help what should be done. I tried using zinc pyridone, salicyclic acid, selenium shampoos but it didn't work. Any suggestion what is it? And what should be done for this?

History (Age 16-2022): Chronic dandruff and hair fall since age 16. Suffered from low platelets, Dengue, and COVID-19 up to 2022. ​Triggers (2023): Severe emotional stress due to a breakup, academic pressure, and poor diet (skipping meals). Hair loss became severe. ​Acute Peak (Nov 2025): Severe diffuse hair fall of 250–300 strands daily. ​Deficiencies (Mar 2026): Vitamin D3 is 20 ng/mL (Deficient), Zinc is 61 µg/dL, and B12 is borderline. ​Treatment 1 (March 2026): Diagnosed as Telogen Effluvium (TE). Prescribed Biotin, Vitamin D3, Mesoroot serum, and Imixia shampoo. Result: No improvement after 2 months. ​Treatment 2 (May 2026): Doctor maintained the TE diagnosis but upgraded the prescription to Finasteride 1mg, Minoxidil 5%, and Hairflock tablets. Also recommended starting PRP therapy for faster regrowth. ​Questions for Doctor: ​Since Finasteride 1mg is prescribed, is this purely TE or an overlap of Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA)? ​Is this current prescription safe and appropriate? ​

Hi Doctor, I have oily, acne prone skin. My face gets very oily in summer. I used 2% Salicylic Acid serum on my full face for 5 days by mistake. Doctor told me to use it only on forehead. My facewash also has Mandelic + Salicylic + Azelaic acid. Now my skin feels rough, tight and dry after washing my face. No burning or itching. Questions: 1. Is this skin barrier damage? 2. Which gentle facewash should I use for oily acne prone skin? 3. Which light, non-comedogenic moisturizer is good for healing? 4. When can I start acids again for my acne? Hi everyone, I am currently using 5% topical minoxidil for hair fall. I have read that adding tretinoin and microneedling/dermarolling may increase the effectiveness of minoxidil and improve hair growth results. Is this true? Is it recommended? What strength of tretinoin is typically used with minoxidil? What microneedling/dermaroller depth is generally recommended for hair loss? Would appreciate insights from dermatologists or anyone with personal experience. Thank you.
