Ear-Nose-Throat Problems

I have a swollen lymph node that goes from under the ear till the start of the throat. It is hard to touch and pains when I keep my head in a certain position. There is also ringing in the ears and the ear feels a bit muffled. Please suggest the next steps. I had searched over the internet and according to it, this feels like something very serious.

My mother who has a history of hypertension pressure is suffering from unbearable ringing in her L ear and that same side has watery eyes since 5 days now. ENT prescribed azithromycin for 3 days. Physician has prescribed Telma AM for bp to be taken in the morning. Azithromycin dosage is completed. The pain starts around 5 in the evening and goes away when she takes azithromycin 500. Please advise.
