Ear-Nose-Throat Problems

I have the sore Tongue photos attached which has been there for long 8-9years This happens usually at night or evening time. What is the remedy?

Their is this patch in my mouth for more then 10 days. I'm also a smoker. This patch has shrunk alot but didn't disappear. Please answer the following questions for me 1) Is it serious? ( Because it has healed fully) 2) it hasn't pained 3) it feels to me that it's a cheek bite. Is it one?

My grandfather is suffering with Vocal Cord Paresis, He is currently taking liquid food through nasal pipe for more than 3 months now. We have been going for voice therapy for around 1 month, during the latest ENT consultation doctor advised his vocal movements are better but need to continue with nasal pipe for some more time. I heard about VocalStim device , would that help his situation? Our concern is he's getting weak without any food. Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
