Bone & Muscle problems

It's been 2+ years since i have been suffering from swollen, stiff and painfull knees. All the test results for any symptoms of RA have come back inconclusive. Apart from Vit D deficiency, the doctors haven't been able to figure out, any other problem. The concern still being the same, non of the medicines administered have been effective. The swelling comes and goes, leaving me unable to walk and to daily chores. Please suggest if i need to see a specialist for this, since i have only consulted ortho till now.

Hi Sir/Madam Today I got my Mri whole spine done. Can you please let me know what exactly happens to me. Straightening of cervical spine noted. Early degenerative spondylotic changes are seen in the form of small marginal osteophytes with partial disc dessication at few cervical levels seen in the form of subtle loss of hyperintense signal on T2W images. Posterior disc osteophytes complexes are seen at C4/5 & C5/6 levels causing thecal sac indentation. Straightening of lumbar spine is seen. Sacralization of L5 vertebral body is seen as counted from above. There is evidence of decrease signal intensity is seen in all vertebral bodies on T2W images - ? cause

Pain in one knee and finger joints...suspect arthritis due to family history. Which test should I do to check whether I am having arthritis or not?

My friend has swelling in her knees. It started around 3 years back and comes and goes back on its own. The area around the knee becomes painful,stiff and hard to touch. Upon standing up after sitting for a while, it feels like the legs aren't just supporting the weight of the body for 4-5 seconds. Mobility has been badly hampered. She has consulted 2-3 doctors before but none of them could diagnose the problem. There were some vitamin deficiencies which were taken care of and also the relevant tests for Rheumatoid Arthritis were negative. Could anyone help us as to where and whom shall we see to get a solution. Thanks ( She has irregular cycles and a benign lump in her left breast as well.)
