Femur Fracture
I had a femur fracture and underwent surgery where a stainless steel intramedullary rod was inserted. I'm currently in the recovery phase. I am currently 8 days post-surgery.
During a follow-up, my doctor forcefully flexed my leg (knee and hip) and it caused severe pain—sharp, unbearable, and lasted a while afterward. Is this normal? Should leg flexion be this painful so soon after surgery, or was it too aggressive?
Kindly advise if this level of pain during movement is expected or if I should seek another opinion for physiotherapy.
Thank you.
