A mass of gum hanging

A mass of gum is hanging over my upper right side wisdom tooth. I can't touch it with my finger but am able to do so using the tongue. The food gets stuck beneath that mass which I remove using my tongue. There is some pain since morning as a result of which I'm unable to smile fully.

Periodontal ligament widening.

What is the treatment for periodontal ligament widening? Is Extraction the only solution for it? I have jaw pain under the ear and neck pain for more than 10 months now. Tooth 46 hurts for tapping and biting pressure. Dentist suspect root fracture. Endo told to do root canal. Had Rct and crown. Still the same symptoms on that tooth. It's been 6 months after root canal. Still same tapping and biting pressure on it. And same lower jaw under ear& neck pain. Been to many dentist and doctors. No answers yet. Saw a dentist for second opinion last week. He said he can see periodontal ligament widening on my old xrays. But he didn't say what would have been done for that. I had root canal and crown on it. No cavities or infection noted. Had cbct scan and no fracture spotted. My previous dentist still blame this tooth as a reason for my jaw pain under ear and neck. Don't know the reason yet. Neck CT scan normal results. Had CT as I have 2 lump spots on jaw under ear and neck.what to do PDL?

NTI guard for jaw pain. It hurts.

My dentist gave me NTI guard for a week or two for diagnostic purpose. My symptoms are, Constant pain in lower jaw under ear and neck for more than 10 months. Also tapping and biting pressure on 46 since this started. Suspect root fracture in 46. Had cbct. Nothing found. Endo told to do root canal for tapping and biting pressure. No cavities or infection. Had Rct &crown. No changes. Constant pain in the lower jaw under ear and neck along with tapping and biting pressure on 46.OMFS(tmj) said it's Myofascial pain dysfunction but not sure about 46. So went to another dentist. He said to do nerve block and NTI as part of diagnostic test. Nerve block on 46 takes away the biting pressure pain but not the lower jaw pain under ear. What does it indicate if nerve injection on 46 take away biting pressure pain?I got NTI to try for a week or 2to see if it helps. It's very bulky and uncomfortable to use. I used it for a night and my lower jaw infront of ear area hurts a lot. Never tried any guard.
