My doctor suggested me to take pan40 after lunch and after dinner. As I'm having pain just below  the ribs. He suspects it is gastritis. Is it safe to take pan 40 after food

I have been having this mild pain in upper left abdomen. It all started with acidity when I ate some pickle, acidity was there for few days but it's normal now. However after that, I have started having this very mild pain in upper abdomen. When I wake up in morning it's completely normal. Earlier I had pain in same place while applying pressure to passing stool, now it has reduced drastically but has not got completely normal.
