Skin, Hair and Nail Problems

Almost black in colour and Itching if I am touching that area. It is there for the last six months. Any suggested treatment?

My friend has swelling, discolouration and intense pain around his nail area on his finger. he bites his nail often and assumes that is the cause. i have attached the picture and would appreciate help at the earliest.

I am writing this again. my friend currently works a day job far away and is to draw. he is not free for a consultation. until he comes into the city and is free to book a consultation he would appreciate a response helping him reduce the swelling, pain and discolouration for the time being. he assumes this pain is caused by biting nails. i have attached the picture below please help at the earliest. suggest ways to reduce this for the time being. do not suggest an online consultation as he will look into that over the next few days. thank you
