Recently Answered Questions on Left side discomfort under ribs

Dear Doctor, Good Afternoon I have been suffering occasional anxiety issues from the past few years. But it has been agrevated alot in the past few months. I have sometime high heart rate when i am tensed or anxious. But one thing i have noticed more is that, whenever i visit a hospital for a regular checkup, i get nervous and when the nurse check bp using the machine, i am more getting more nervous and always thinks about that my bp will be high and what will i do if my bp rises and all. In the last few months i have visited 3 time in hospital bp reading were 140/80, 150/100, 150/90. But while i reach home i feel relaxed and no anxiousness. As per the blood pressure range, my bp seems to be on a higher range. I have never faced any heart problem like chest pain,discomfortness or nor breathing issue. Am i in need of bp medicines or it is a psychological problem that require psychiatry treatement?. Please help me.

I had visited gynaecologist about 10 days ago as I had experienced slight itching and discomfort in my vagina. I was prescribed with a vaginal capsule (anti fungal) for a day and then doxy ldr and metronidazole. After taking those medications specifically the oral tablets-I feel now my anus groin area and vagina are itching even more and seem to be tender. I had a previous vaginal yeast infection in Dec last year which subsided with the oral antifungal and vaginal capsule. However this month I felt slight itching post my periods and now after treatment it's worse. I even observed white clumpy discharge while I peed today. What could this be?

I'm a 29 years old female with a height of 5.4 inches and a weight of 51 kg. I've developed a swelling on my right knee (just one knee)  all of a sudden. While going to the office, I've to walk around 25 mins to reach my destination. My knee doesn't pain, but when it's swollen, I find it difficult to walk or bear weight on that knee. I visited a doctor here in Melbourne, and he mentioned it's nothing serious. But a swollen knee causes a real discomfort and affects my day-to-day life. I would like to know what could have caused this swelling and how can I get my knee healed completely. I've attached a picture for your reference. I'd greatly appreciate your help and advice. Please. I have done an eye test in 2023 April and my prescription is Right.  sph:  -0.25             Cyl :  -1.50             Axis:  20 Left      sph:  -0.25              Cyl :  -0.75              Axis:  170 In 2024 feb my frame was broken and I go to a nearby store and they done a new eye test Right cyl changed from -1.50 to -1.25 and Right Axis changed from 20 to 10 They told me that earlier prescription was wrong I don't need that much power on my right eye. Actually I don't have any discomfort while wearing my old glasses. Is there any problem while reducing the power. My new glass is yet to come.

Namaastey Doctor, From the last 2 days, i was having some discomfortness in throat which now turned into itching of throat and it is leading to occasional coughing, with fever, body ache and headache. Fever started from yesterday night. Took Calpol 500 mg, got some releif and then again fever and body ache came on 11.00 noon at today, took calpol 500. Now i am feeling better but having headache and feeling hot sensation over hands and face.

I was having throat discomfort since long so I went for USG neck as most of the doctors just give antibiotics most of the time... radiologist said it's normal also report also says no significant abnormality detected but it also adds this in one line -  ( Bilateral subcentimetric  cervical lymph nodes are seen with maintained central fatty hilum. Lymph nodes of right side largest)  measuring 9 *3.1 mm and level II and life side largest measuring 8.7 * 3.3 mm at level II And In impressions it says NO SIGNIFICANT ABNORMALITY DETECTED...help me pls ..added photo also

Since last couple of days i often feel very cold and my hands and feet get very cold. I need to get into the blanket to warm myself up even if the weather isn't so cold outside. Lately whenever I am emotionally feeling very low and restless and helpless, I feel physical discomfort as well, it starts with a sharp pain in the throat, sometimes pain in the forehead and eyes and then feeling faster and harder heart beats. Everything else subsides in a while but the heart throbbing just goes on for too long and it's very uncomfortable. Is this something to worry about or let my family know. Note: Also I was born with PDA and got it operated at the age of 5. Do I need to seek medical help ??

I am having random breast pain for a few weeks now. I get pinching pain for a moment on left side of chest which eventually fades away but it keeps coming back. Sometimes everyday and sometimes once or twice a week. Assuming it could be a heart related problem I got it checked but everything was clear then as this pain occurs in both chest side and upper back I got an x ray done two months ago but everything came out fine and doctor suggested it might be a posture issue As the pain started reoccurring now, I am not sure what is causing it It is not cyclic as I'm having the pain everyday The pain is mostly on the left side I do not have any lump or any other symptom I do not feel any discomfort while working out or doing any activity It's only the pain that keeps coming and going Please suggest what might be the reason as the pain brings down my regular energy and creates hindrance in my everyday life

Hello everyone. I have developed this red patch inside the corner of my inner upper lip! It does gives me discomfort and pain when it arises, however after applying oral gels it disappears for sometime too! I have shown myself to many dentists and they say there is no cause! There is no sharp too, no incorrect bite nothing, but iam struggleing with this! Its on both corners of inner side of upper lips! Please refer to picture! Its feels dry/ rough to touch too! I have never consulted a dermatologist for this & only shown myself to many dentists! Questions: does this fall under dermatology? Or it it oral pathology/ dental department? What shud be the daignostics and treatment and does derma has this? Please don't say consult in people or u have a cure, so i shud consult! Would appreciate specific answers! Thankyou

I am under a lot of stress dur to frequent hospital visits for parents. My periods was 2 days late and I got this uncomfortable chest pain and back pain with lots.of burps whenever I eat or drink water. I went to a general physician and she checked my pulse, breathing and BP and said must be due to stress as I did a whole body checkup only 7 months back and cardiac reports back then seem normal. It's unlikely to develop cardiac complications so soon. She gave me antidepressants for 2 weeks. Today is the 4th day and I feel better but still have slight discomfort and burps. Question: should I wait for 2 weeks or visit a cardiologist? Am I imagining too much (as dad is a cardiac patient) and it's just stress?
