Recently Answered Questions on Left side discomfort under ribs

Since two days now i have a pain in the upper right quadrant of my stomach just below the rib cage. This pain is starting in the morning, it's so strong that it's waking me up. I can't go back to sleep until this pain will go away (today it was almost 1 hour, yesterday it was around half an hour). When i suffer from this pain i feel bloated and full like I've just eaten some heavy meal. During this pain I also suffer from heartburn and I'm belching a lot. Pain intensifies when I'm pressing that part of stomach with my hand (even gently). This pain in it's peak is also going to my back. Today I've got also nausea and just a bit of dizziness. Other things: No assumed position will ease the pain. I didn't took any painkillers as this pain is going away on it's own after some time and then during the day I don't feel any symptoms (except maybe heartburn that comes and goes during the day but then again I suffered from heartburn before).

Hello Doctor, After sleeping for five-six hour it becomes difficult to remain laid horizontal on bed because my back hurts very much in the morning. It pains me in spine, approx. 1 feet above lower end of spine. Back side of the place where rib cage ends. It pains more if I sleep with my face up. Sleeping on side ways pains less. Surprisingly nothing happens throughout the day. After I wake up and sit down the pain remains for few minutes and then it's gone gradually. I have tried different mattresses, different ways but the problem seems to be increasing these days. This started happening when I bought a new form based mattress of high density 2 years back. Since then I have changed the mattres but still it's the same. Now it pains in everything morning. Please suggest me proper actions for this problems. Thanks for you time. -- Vimal

Since last 1.5 years my wife whose age is 27 years is suffering with severe back pain and leg pain. Before 1.5 years she had normal fever on 20th January 2016. We have refered many local doctors. They have treated as best as they can. We have also referred spine surgeon in Rajkot and that report was very normal on judged by MRI. She has been suffering back pain between lower L5 and L6. There is a parmenent inflation on lower part of mid rib. There is no any effect of painkiller medicine. Now a days she has been taking treatment of the Ayurvedic hospital in Amreli. As per suggestions of that doctor she checked out the level of vitamin D3 and vitamin B12. As per doctor's assumption it's value was lower than normal range. She has now all perameters on normal range. Her H. B. Value is of 12.5. After all this picture you might be able to get our situation. One thing I should say you that she performed suryanamaskar before suffering. Kindly reply us as soon as possible.

I've been having chest pains at rest for the past 6 weeks. The pains are either in the center on the left side of my chest, beneath my rib cage. I feel constant pressure, and it's difficult to breathe deeply. I have shortness of breath, and I get dizzy/ light headed sometimes. The pain shoots down my left arm. Today, I feel it in my back, as well. Yesterday, I had a nuclear stress test, the pain increased AFTER my heart rate was supposed to drop. Therefore, my heart rate didn't slow down, and my BP wasn't elevated. They had to inject me with something to slow my heart rate; it still took several minutes to get it below 100 bpm. I feel like the cardiologist is being dismissive because I don't smoke, I'm not obese, nor do I have hypertension or high cholesterol. However, I'm a type-A personality, and I have a high stress job (middle school English teacher). I've always been high-strung, and I have a history of anxiety dating back to childhood. I also suffer from Raynaud's and migraines.

I m feeling pain on the left & center of the chest & left side of shoulder & left side upper back & collar & neck from last three months it started paining in the left hand elbow and numbness in the left hand & small finger sometimes i feel numbness in the left leg also sometimes it pain the left side of jaw & face I also find the little swelling on my centre of the chest on the last rib I m facing this problem from more than 1 year My local physician has asked me to do the following test Xray of chest & neck Ecg chest Sonography & couple of blood test After seeing the test reports doctor says they are almost normal I have consulted 2-3 doctors for the opinions 1 says you are having cervical Sponbylises 1 says you are having chostrocontrodities 1 says you don't have anything you are just thinking of the pain I m really feed up with this pain I Don't know what to do to get rid I also can't concentrate on my work The pain is increasing day by day I had almost loss 15 kgs

I have been facing choking problem. I also feel cough is there in right side of food pipe however it does not come out. also I have shown to one physician in bangalore. he ask me for ecg test which was normal and then he further asked me for TMT which I have to undergo. sir while sleeping sometimes I will wake up during night as if I am not able to breath and start walking and could not sleep due to fear of death. also I feel stomach bulging on both sides and on right side rib sometimes I feel pain. one day after returning from running 8n morning I felt as if something wants to come out from my body and could not breath properly. I am feeling as if it is not yet properly diagnosed. I was also advised by the NEURO PHYSICIAN doctor to take nexitoplus tablet which i took for one month. this above problem exacerbated after taking this medicine which I feel. mujhe khane ke baad dakar bhi bahut aata hai. Dr sab kuch upay bataye mujhe jisse nivaran pa sakun. delhi aa kar dikhwa bhi saktahu

Im suffering from pain in right side of stomach...especially after having food n while sitting..its below the right rib area...i feel like cramps,pain and numbness in that area...i have undergone all kinds of tests including CT ABDOMEN, ENDOSCOPY, ULTRASOUND, 2D ECHO, AEC, BLOOD TEST, THYROID, TMT..everything is negative. Many doctors prescribed Razo-d n similar tablets but of no use..Previously i used to smoke and take alcohol. But since months i stopped everything and these things started like panic attacks, tension , anxiety and abdominal pain..im using nexito plus for my panic disorders n im getting relief from that but for this abdominal pain my doctor suggested 2 tablets NORMAXIN, RABEKIND but m not finding any difference after using these tablets too...please help me...i visited more than 20 doctors but im not relieved from d pain.

I have pain in my stomach just below the left rib. It feels like something is tightly stuck or gripping inside, and sometimes it feels like something is moving there, which causes severe pain. My stomach is never properly clear, and I often experience incomplete bowel movements. Sometimes, there are unusual sounds coming from my stomach. This problem has been there for a very long time (around 20 years). I drink a good amount of water, but even after drinking water, something comes back up from my stomach, like a foamy substance (similar to when we mix detergent in water). I avoid oily food. I practice yoga, eat fruits, and consume normal home-cooked meals. Another issue is that my weight is around 60 kg, but I look thin compared to my weight. I also have dark circles, wrinkles, and a lot of pigmentation on my face. I feel tired most of the time. I have consulted many doctors and taken almost all types of medicines for constipation and gastric problems, but problem is still the same.

I have been diagnosed with a Grade 3 Fatty Liver in Nov having CAP 303 and KPA 11. I have reduced my weight from 125 to 120. In mid December I got another Fibroscan done. This time CAP is 338 and KPA 6.5. Since then I have reduced another 4.5 Kg of weight. But sometimes I feel slight pain or uneasiness in the right side of the ribs area. Current prescribed medications are Bilypsa and thiotres. Can someone tell what exactly is happening and is there any need for change in medication? Also can I take a Liver Detox capsule consisting of Milk Thistle along with current medication? Can someone suggest diet? I am pure vegetarian and mostly getting protein from Double Toned milk, paneer, curd, butter milk, besan, legumes, soya chunks. Also, using mustard oil mostly and sometimes desi ghee. Max 20 ml per day. Also, I have kidney stones in both kidneys 3.1 mm and 2.4 mm.

Hi all, I'm male,age 33, height 5.10 ft,weight around 95 kg Last 1 week. I play football 3 days a week. I generally don't have breakfast and have lunch at 2pm I'm  dextrocardia / situs inversus. I'm having pain in my left rib cage area in one particular spot. The pain is slowly moving in the front part of the chest as well ( my feeling) I'm having heaviness on my chest as well for few minutes once or twice a day To be on the safer side, I took ecg, echo and chest scan. It's normal. But I want to know the reason for the pain in my ribcage area. Last 2 to 3 days, my spinal cord starting point near the bum is slightly paining. Is it because of any muscle catch or gas or anything related to heart. Please help. I have always been healthy and this is the first time I'm getting these symptoms. Should I take any test to confirm Not taking any tabs as of now.
