My grandmother is heart patient , asthma patient and recently she has facing issues with kideney as well. Initially Creatinine was increased then it got reduced and then uric acid increased. We have visited nephrologist as well he as prescribed Febutaz-40 and 6-7 dosage of Relipoietin 10000IU (all are completed). Last month her knees and feet were swollen . Now the swelling is reduced on other sites except right knee. Right knee is still swollen and she is unable to walk. I just want second opinion here and also what food she can consume and all.

Rise In Serum Creatinine Levels
I'm diabetic since 6 years.HbA1c remains between 6% - 7%,hypertensive since 2 years with bp remaining around 130/80 or 140/80.Have grade 2 fatty liver disease. No problems or symptoms of kidney disease as such
Serum creatinine used to remain 1.0 mg/dl.Tested after 13 months from the same lab & it came 1.2 mg/dl (ref range : 0.72 - 1.25).There has been a spike of 0.2 mg/dl.Reports of blood urea, potassium, urine culture, urine r/e,urine acr & usg (kub + pvru) are normal.Other test reports & parameters are also normal
Re-tested from 2 different labs on the next day.On one it came 1.10 mg/dl (ref range : 0.6 - 1.30) & on another it came 1.18 mg/dl (ref range : upto 1.4).
Having excessive weight loss of 10 Kgs,having excessive anxiety & stress, taking librium 25 (chlordiazepoxide) (1 tab twice a day) since 7 months & smoking excessively since 7 months
Can any of these factors cause a spike in creatinine level?
Is the spike in creatinine level normal considering other reports & my age?

Stomach issues in Chronic Kidney Disease
My father has CKD with S. Creat 5.14, UA - 8.9. Not on dialysis. For the past few days, he has lost appetite and has been having gas and bloating in the stomach. Is this due to CKD? Is it safe to give him Bifilac, or please suggest any other medicine.
Thank you

Creatinine rise
I have CKD and was stable with a creatinine level of 2.2, urine creatinine around 19, and 1+ proteinuria for the past three years. My nephrologist prescribed Telma 20 to manage proteinuria, though I have no high blood pressure or diabetes. After starting Telma 20, my creatinine rose from 2.2 to 2.6 and remained there for three months. When the dose was doubled, it increased to 2.76, after which the doctor stopped Telma. Despite this, my creatinine rose further to 2.8, 2.9, and recently to 3.04. Additionally, my protein-creatinine ratio fluctuates, with protein rising to 90 and the ratio increasing to 4.7. My proteinuria now alternates between 1+ and 2+. I also stopped Septran (taken twice weekly) after my creatinine reached 2.8. I currently take Nodosis (three times daily), Cretlow (twice daily), Bun Proforte (twice daily), Docxis Q10, and Dapadoc on alternate days. Despite regular nephrology consultations, I am concerned about my CKD progression and seek further guidance.

High level of serum creatinine (4.1)
My dad is 69 years old and is suffering from diabetes and hypertension. Recently his sugar levels went up to 400 posts which the doctor increased his metformin dosage to 500 mg. His BP has gone up to 205/97 and he is taking Cilacar 30 mg in morning , 10 mg in afternoon and Aten 50 mg in evening.
For the past 10 days his feet were swollen and had gastric issues, bit nausea and dizziness. Got the blood/urine tests done and his serum creatinine is 4.1 with protein 3+ in urine and GFR estimated as 15. His B12 is also tooo high 1565.
Really worried and not sure on the next steps. Need suggestions urgently. 🙏
