Heart Problems & Remedies
Hypertension
I am taking dilzem cd 120 in the morning
And telma 40 at night for hypertension.
It is a 12 hour gap between medicines.
BP has been very normal since 3 years.
Now in between probably due to sleep issues and also perimenopause or diet, bp got a bit elevated.
Now it is 140/90
Earlier it used to be 120/80 or 110/80
My query is whether i can take telma 40 at 6 pm
And Dilzem cd 120 at 9 am
Is that ok ?

Should I continue with statins
2 months back I found out Ihad 146 lad cholesterol in a routine blood test.
A doctor prescribed me 10 mg rosustatin for this.
Now the recent blood test shows ldl at 83.
My doctor now tells me to discontinue the statin.
However from all the information I have seen online, statins are a lifelong medication and If I discontinue it my ldl will rise again which will significantly increase my risk of heart disease in future.
So should I discontinue or not?
