Bp is normal bp tablet is atenlol pulse rate is slow 46 per minute change bp tablet what is best for bp for me

My bp is 140/90 from last 20 days and have mild chest pain. All heart related test like ecg, echo, tmt are normal. Should I be taking bp medicine? My current doctor has not prescribed it but I get a feeling that I should be having it atleast for few days. My weight is 110 kg and currently he gave me only cholesterol tablet as my cholesterol is high. Please advise on bp medicine?
