Nasal Polyps and Deviated Nasal Septum
Hi doctor,
I have a deviated nasal septum which blocks like 80% of my left nostrill. I have dust allergy (for over 12 years), which makes the insides of my nose very sensitive to dust, and I fall into a sneezing fit almost always. This has caused the inner walls of my nose to swell, causing nasal polyps, that block my right nostrill.
I wonder if I should "fix" my nose by correcting the deviation and removing the polyps. I hope at least that would make it easier to breathe. Perhaps my allergy is chronic, based on a local doctor's opinion, so all I can do is prevent exposure to dust. But the polyp removal and the DNS correction is something I am considering. Please let me know of your opinion on this.
Should I consider the surgery?
How long does the surgery take for what I am suggesting? If I am to plan it, will I have to take a long leave from work?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Pain after laparoscopic cholecystectomy
My mother had Laparoscopic cholecystectomy done 7 days back. After first day pain in shoulder she was recovering fine. And she is taking khichdi ,Daliya in her meals. But yesterday she had sudden intense pain in her stomach 4 inches above the incision which got better after 45 mins after taking pain medication. What could be the reason for this. Do we need to worry. She tried one roti for the first time yesterday . Could the pain be due to sitting posture or getting up from the bed suddenly?
