Hernia is a abnormal outpouching of contents of abdomen. 1. Symptoms - abnormal swelling protruding in the abdomen area, can be found also lower abdomen just a above thighs. The swelling may increase during coughing or straining. 2. Pain in hernia occurs when blood supply reduces to the hernia, when intestine in the hernia is blocked or fat gets stuck in hernia or infection. Hernia is usually identified by doctor. Self diagnosis is dangerous.
