Lipoma surgery post
I had a lipoma surgery on my wrist 4 weeks back. My wound is largely healed but there is pain and tightness where the stitches were there. There is a bump sorts where the stitches were there. It looks weird not sure if this is how it is supposed to look. Can you pls advise ?

Hi. Going by the picture it looks like a thick scar and mild edema in the suture line. Pain and Tightness(stiffness) is due to the evolving scar tissue. I suggest you to do mild exercises on a daily basis. Even you can visit a physiotherapist for a therapy session. Size of the scar will slowly reduce upto 10 to 30% over the months but it not disappear.

This looks like a secondarily healed scar from your previous surgery. If there is swelling over the suture line you need to get a live consult from the general surgeon to closely examine it.
