Dear Practitioners, I was on a slightly high dose of iron supplement (300 mg ferrous fumarate) till 3 months ago. My recent blood work says that my Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) level is 38 U/L. Is this ALT level worrisome? Is this level due to the high power Ferrous Fumarate supplement I was on 3 months ago or is there some other problem with my liver?

Hi All, recently took ct thorax for cough and cold. There is one finding regarding the liver Any further tests needed for it,how can I improve. What exactly does it mean.

I got typhoid back in april along with joint pain and shivering. Got I/V accuzon 1g(10) [1-1]and meromac 1g (10) [1-1] pulse 120bpm, bp 100/60, fever 99.5 consistent After that i am got mild diarrhea and abdominal pain.In between diarrhea got worse with rectal pain, abdominal pain Gastroenterologist prescribed me pantoacid, Vsl #3, Mebiz SR, had this medicine for a month (may - june) situation is still same. I have got High fecal calprotectin 390, ESR 45, CRP 2.3 and CT scan is normal, got sigmoidoscopy done showing normal loss of mucosal pattern, hyperemia, and moderate pancolitis. Is this all happened due to antibiotics or can this be c diff or h pylori or UC PLEASE HELP ME I AM STRESSED

Hi for last for 4 weeks i am having localised lower chest pain and reflux even after taking medicines its not going away

I have pain in my lower left rib for the last 10 months. Sometimes the pain is in the front side of the rib, and sometimes on the left side. The pain is bearable and not continuous. It mostly starts in the evening. I go for motion 2 to 3 times a day. What might be the issue? And which specialist doctor should I consult?

I am 30 (female), and a teacher( long sitting hours), and suffering from severe acidity and acid reflux. The problem has been significant after covid treatment mainly antibiotics. Now every 2-3 months sometimes even more frequentlyo severe gas and acidity has become part of my life. I try to balance my diet but it gets triggered by other things as well like a change in routine, lack of sleep or change of place. If it is persistent for 1 week then I feel a sensation like something has stuck in my throat. Please suggest a reliable management like tabs or antiacids and how to reduce its frequency. Please include if I can  use probiotics and which food to avoid. Thank you.

Hi Dr, I wanted to enquire about my recent issue. I was having for the last 3 weeks. It started after I went on a high protein diet. I am a vegetarian so I included a lot of dairy products and due to some injury I also had to take naproxen so I attributed my symptoms to these two. I went to a gastroenterologist and he prescribe me symbulardi and Rifagut which I took for two weeks. I am better now. I’m not having loose tools like before but my stool type is fluctuating between being constipated and type 5-6. I will be booking an appointment with a local doctor here, but I just wanted to understand what this could be. I also had test with CRP,CBC and electrolyte which was all normal and only my ESR was raised at 30. During last week I was in goa and had pretty much everything without any major issues. Please advise what this could be. My appointment is on Monday and I am getting anxious.
