My father is 60 years old. His Bp has increased these days(160/90). He is asking if he can take Atenolol medicine and Amlodipine medicines both at the same time?

I'm using 5 days dextromethorphan 10mg and cpm 4mg for dry cough as per my doctor prescription, my cough controlled upto 60% but my cousin he is also physician suggested not to use dextromethorphan instead of that medicine he recommends levocloperastine fendizoate syrup. Which i use
