I have a question for reassurance purpose. The thing is ,it started with pain and redness after injury in left eye which could be inflammation. Then after 15 days i started having problem of slanting of vision in which straight lines appear bent. Along with slant problem , I was having pain too.So that's when I visited opthalmologist but forgot to tell him about the pain in eye. I told about only the visual distortion. He immediately used indirect opthalmoscope and dilated my eyes to look inside and said everything is normal and healthy inside the macula and retina. It looks like he was quite focused to look inside the eye .But he did not use slit lamp on me ( cell and flare effect to detect inflammation). Can I be assured that he has not missed inflammation in any eye if he used only indirect opthalmoscope and handheld lens. Can opthalmologists also grossly detect even mild inflammation with naked eye if patient has visited a doctor in person.

Hi , my sister is suffers from 3 styes in one eye ( upper lid) since a few months now , Shez completed 2/3 doses for antibiotics and also applied a few creams suggested by the eye doc but nothing seems to work , the stye is soft & filled with puss which is not coming out & she has been doing hot fermentation for months now, nothing seems to help her , any recommendations what else can be done so they stye disappears ?? I got PRK surgery done 15 days back. All of a sudden when I woke up in the morning today my left eye is red and it hurts in upper part of the left eye when I look at bright source of light. Like when I enter from comparatively dark place to a place where there is light. My right eye is fine. This was not there yesterday. What might be the cause for this? How can I relieve this.
