Ringing sound past 3days

Hello , From past 3days I am having ringing noise in my ear and I consulted nearby ENT. He asked me to get PTA , When tested I have mild hearing loss in my right ear due to usage of headphone. He told me to reduce usage of headphones then sound will go away in some days. Is it ok to wait or need further medical investigation.
