We want superficial Paratodictomy to be performed under local anaesthesia. Is this possible. Mother is asthmatic and scared of general anaesthesia and its side effects.

Hello Doctor Few days back I recovered from cold, but now I am unable to smell or taste anything. I had used vicks vaporab from unstuffing my nose during cold. Now I am afraid, is this loss of smell permanent or it will recover? It's been around 3 days i am not able to smell anything, nor I get any taste of food. Please help doctor. Is this a serious issue?
