Chest & Breathing Problems

Usually i fell i can't breathe properly but when i use 2 puff off foracoat200 inhaler then 2-3 days i fell normal then again i fell same problem.

Hello, My mother 67 year old asthmatic patient needs to undergo surgery (Superficial Paratodictomy). To assess her lung condition she underwent DLCO test. The problem is she was not able to do the test. There's no measurement of her capacity as the equipment has some minimum value to record. Now is this common for old aged people with asthma or is this something to worry. And how will we know whether she has asthma or emphasyma. Answers and suggestions will be more than helpful.

I have had persistent coughing problems since January 2018. It got a lot a worse after a couple of months, then 2 courses of antibiotics gave some relief but the coughing didn't go away. Then eventually it got extremely less. Recently it started again, and I took another course of some cough tablets and an antibiotic which gave me relief. But just 10 days after it I've started coughing really badly again. I smoke very rarely, I quit after the coughing started in January. Then I started smoking socially again in August, and now the cough is back.

I got breathing problems after eating or Ludlow walk in bath when I take head shower. Which speciality doctor should I consult? Either pulmonologist or cardiologist or gastroenterologist?

I am having dry cough from 3 months . With lab test , my eosnophilia was 9.1 ,vitamin b12 79 pg/ml . vitamin D was 15.94 ng/ml . IgE (Immunoglobulin-E) is 188 kua/l . Athough cough has been reduced nw . But i have started facing breathlessness. My eyes ocassionally turns red with nose almst blocked in morning . i am having homeopathy treatment for same . Just wanted to be sure if these extra symptoms are normal and part of allergy . How mch does it take to get fully cured .

Hi dr, I am having pain in my left side chest below breast and it increase slightly while heavy breathing and now I can sleep left side due to pain Please advice me something

I’m suffering from Asthma and I realised at the age of 15 or 16 . That time I used to take the medicine Asthalin. Later somebody recommended me to go for Asthalin rotohaler. I have a sinus problem also & I find my lungs week since Childhood this thing I realised when I used to run and face breathing problem. Earlier I used to take 1 or 2 caps in a week of Asthalin rotocaps but right now I am taking 6 to 7 Caps in a day. I face congestion problem regularly and every time in night around 4 to 6 o'clock I have to woke up to take the medicine and apart from this I have noticed that in every 4 to 5 hours I have to take a medicine & I do have dust allergy plus I used to smoke till last week and have Around 6 to 7 cigarettes and pass two years. If I have not eaten food for too long or while driving a car continuously for 2hr I face breathing problem. Please suggest which test & doctor I should go for to solve this problem permanently. Is pulmonary function & chest x-ray test good option

Suffering from breathing shortness, tightness in throat and chest, discomfort feeling, ECG,chest x ray is normal.. is it asthma?If so then  what kind of inhaler I can use to get relive ?

To diagnose the symptoms such as weight loss, daily fever in the evening and joint pains, I underwent CECT of chest. CECT has diagnosed me with mediastinal lymphadenopathy with discrete conglomerate enlarged lymph nodes in prevascular, right paratracheal, subcarinal, aortopulmonary window, and bilateral hilar region. Presently I am being treated empirically for Tuberculosis since 07.08.2018 but I have not got relief from that. Fever comes daily around 5pm and ranges between 100°F to 101°F. Weight loss has stopped at a point (55 kg) but no further weight gain beyond that (I am still at 55 Kg ever since the beginning of ATT. My normal weight was 62 kg before felling ill). I have read somewhere that enlarged lymph nodes may also be due to some malignancy. Has the time come (6 weeks after the start of ATT) to explore other possibilities other than the Tuberculosis? Or should I give more time to the ongoing course of treatment

3-4 months back, My mother faced breathing issue with heaviness in chest. As she hd fever too, she consulted doctor n took medicines for 4-5 days and contacted doctor again when didn't get much relief, doctor prescribed medicine for 21days of eosinophilia after blood test done. After a month, She consulted another doctor and doctor suggested eosinophil and Ige tests with x-ray. X-ray report was OK but eosinophil and ige level were high. Further doctor has prescribed some medicines i.e. Duanase nasal spray twice for 20days, hetrazan 100 thrice a day for 10days, allegra M once for 20days. After 20days, he replaced some medicines for next 10days i.e. Histafree 120mg(in place of allegra m) and flomist( in place of duanase) and ask to contact back with ige/eosinophil test. We have done tests, where eosinophil count seems in control but ige is too high. So prescribed some medicines mentioned in basic details and suggested for PFT and RAST, I am attaching PFT report and last Ige report here.
