Sound in knee while moving but no pain.

I am having a cracking sound while i exercise my knee, for ex. squatting. It happens only when weight is applied on the knee. It is occuring only in right knee , and occurs without pain. It is not occasional , it cracks everytime i squat. I tried applying hot pack once , did not work. What should i do?
