Is knee replacement is last opinion can we have other options. Is knee replacement is safe?My mother is 68 year old and she is having pain on left knee.

There is a lump like structure feeling from outside while touching between the lowest middle point of rib cage joint is this serious or it's natural ?

I am 53 year old. I have had a pain in the right side beside my spine in the lumbar area for more than 7 months now. The pain is located at a particular place  and is a bit swelled . It doesn't hurt when I am sitting or relaxed. But hurts when I work or move too much or burden myself. The pain is not there always but it happens after I stand and work for some time. I don't have any other symptoms. Is this pain from Kidney ? I have a seperate knee pain .
