Tooth and Mouth Problems

Dear sir/madam ,i got my third molar extracted before 12 days . After 3 or 4 days of extraction I noticed that under and side of the socket gum is displaced and bone can be seen .See attached pic. My local dentist told me the gum is shifting towars hollow socket from side , if gum is not file in 28 days at the side the at that point bone is need to cut slightly .Please suggest what to do. I am applying metronidazole gel on it.
