Why it still hurts at wisdom tooth extraction site when I touch it after 1 month? Should I consult dentist?

I am facing a typical problem. My mother 81 years old was in hospital for 10 days due to brain stroke. After discharge during sleep she bites her lips with front teeth. Tried using tape but no use as area is not dry. Photo enclosed. The area is getting wound. Wound can heal if she stops bitting. I am notes able to fund solution. Can anyone help here???
