Recovery after a maxillofacial surgery is a really tough and tiring process. It is always advisable to wait it out. The discomfort is expected. However, if you feel that the issue is debilitating, please visit an ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEON only. Being a specialist in this field, they can best give you further advice.
Next Steps
Be patient You can use over the counter pain relief medication like Zerodol for symptomatic relief if you opt to wait it out. Visit an OMFS dentist if your issues persist after 2 weeks.
Health Tips
Do not apply any ointment externally. Do not take any non prescribed medication other that routine painkillers unless specifically advised. Do not be tempted to rely on hearsay or google as sources of information
