Hi. I would like to know the mechanism behind a TMJ splint or bite plate in curing TMJ disorders like jaw popping and jaw deviation. How does it work? Approximately how many months are needed for the TMJ Splint? After it reduces and cures the problem, does the problem come back after you stop wearing it? Also, does it cause any irreversible changes in your teeth alignment which has to be corrected later? What is the average cost of a hard TMJ splint in India? Also, is it very tight and uncomfortable to wear all day?

How much time is needed to make a custom-made, hard TMJ mouthguard or splint in India? Within how many days approximately can we get it? Also, how should it feel on wearing one? Is pain or discomfort normal? What to expect?

Does wearing a TMJ Splint (all day) cause changes to your bite? Will those changes need to be corrected with braces? If there are no major occlusion problems, then can TMJ splint be helpful in curing TMJ problems like jaw popping, deviation, ear crackling, etc? Kindly let me know if TMJ Splint causes any changes to the bite which have to be later corrected with braces?

I had a wisdom tooth extraction  yesterday  and doctor prescribed dolo 650 for pain. There's still pain and swelling and I have been taking dolo 650 ( morning and night). Can I apply colgate pain out for pain.
