Tooth and Mouth Problems

I am facing difficulty and pain due to TM Joint for last one month. Recently the pain is aggravating in the right ear and in the jaw. Initially i thought it was an ENT problem and consulted an ENT doctor. He diagnosed and confirmed it is a TM Joint issue. He said, it seems like a slight dislocation in the jaws. Regarding to this, i have few queries. To cure this dislocation, does it need any surgery?? What caused this TMD? Can it be adjusted without surgery( as suggested in youtube videos). Kindly suggest me the appropriate solution and fo the needful. Thanks..
