Recently Answered Questions on wet cough syrup

My son 2+ age have constant cough at night time more than 3 weeks and he sometimes vomit during cough. I have seen him by 2 doctors in 4 visit and they recommend there medicine but not helpful at all. They said there is nothing in his chest Dan why medicine are not working on him. Should I give him Zifi 50 mg dry syrup and in what dosage. Pls advise.

Hi, this is fr my son. He is 3 years and 2 months. Weighs around 21kg n 3ft tall. He has dry cough fr past 3 days, regular chericough syrup was 3 times, 4ml per time. Cough still persists though home remedy of honey was occasionally tried too. Pls prescribe further. Thanks.

My Daughter is 2 years old. For last one month she is having cought at night. Like if she sleeps at 11.00 pm, she get cough around 2.30 am and she cought 4 to 5 times till 3.30 am. (The same cough happens sometimes like 3 to 4 times in a day time It seems she has balgam which is not coming out. )Then again if she sleeps , sleeps properly till morning.I have tried giving her mucolyte and other syrups as suggested my Dr's but dint work. I am a bit irritated and tensed. I tried ns 1ml nebulization for 6 to 7 days, that also dint work. The cought has not worsened , but it has been persistent.Dr days her chest is clear I want suggestion for next course of action? Because I have shown to 2 to 3 pediatrician and I am planning to take homeopathic treatment now. Please dr's give your suggestion. I am in need of one. Best regards, Tensed Father

My son aged 3 yr 2 months has been suffering from cold since 5 days and cough since yesterday...we used cheston cold,no cold syrups..From yesterday we are giving T-Minic 2 ml for 3 times a day...He is coughing alot and his throat is paining too...He was diagnosed with tonsillitis a month back...As medicines are not showing much impact I am thinking to give Nebulization to my son..can I give it??If yes plz prescribe the medicine to use and frequency per day...My son is 12 kg..and very active normally...plz suggest diet too...He eats only curd rice..Do I need to stop it??plz rply

- Cough Started last week, without any cold or runny nose etc but after some headache in evening. - only on one day fever was above 100, rest evenings about 99.6 - took cheston cold for 3 days, then switched to Cephadroxyl tabs (morning evening) antibiotic for 8 tabs in total. - it is neither increasing too much, no phlegm ( quite less light green and not thick) and neither going away. - one doctor prescribed anti allergy tab for next 2 weeks and syrup grilinctus as she said antibiotic is not acting on viral and could be due to allergy. - but not much improvement. Cough remains in day as well as little more at night, like an irritant in some lower end of air pipe but nothing comes out.moy able to sleep and rest due to this. Please suggest.

I had continued sneezing 3 weeks back. Took citrizen and it got reduced. After 6 days I got dry cough. Took tablets and cough syrup from a doctor for 5 days . Still it hasn't reduced and then I consulted physician in Practo I used cheston cold and Allegra M for 3 days. Still I am getting the phlegm. Cough reduced little bit. How can I treat this issue? It's been three weeks. It's not getting better nor worse.

I am Aditya Wadkar, i am 29 years old. From Thane, Manpada. I am having dry cough from past 3 weeks. No fever, no cold, no running nose. Just dry cough. My family doctor had suggested me these medicines: 1. T. Ventidox M (5 days after BF and D.) 2. C. Pulmoclear (5 days after D) 3. Syrup. Digecaine (5days 10ml after L and D.) He also asked me to get HR CT chest dignosis which has come normal. the results are attached. But nothing seems to work. The coughing is persistent and it pains in chest when i cough. My doc. Suggested me to get an opinion of ent specialist. I have this dry cough problem since childhood. Every 2 or 3 years i get dry cough that lasts more than 3 to 4 weeks. Every time doctors suggest me different medicines but nothing works and eventually the coughing stops after 3 to 4 weeks on its own. Please help.

Is choliv l syrup good in pregnancy for indigestion and acidity issues? Patient is 4months pregnant.
